Mis Spital. Mis Läbe.

Delve into the lives of healthcare professionals who make Stadtspital Zurich more than just a workplace; it's a lifestyle. From the head of emergency planning his day at 4:30 AM to the specialists on the frontlines, each episode offers a glimpse into their daily routines, quick decision-making, and the essential role of teamwork.

More than a series, a lifestyle.

It’s 4:30 in the morning on any given day, the head of emergency and reception is planning his day, meanwhile part of his team goes through the daily routine with their patients. Hours later at one of the hospital locations, they receive a call… It is not yet known whether it is an emergency, a consultation, a delivery or a patient for monitoring.

Many options can arise and fortunately, each specialist knows the protocols and knows what to do. The surgery rooms are ready in case of an emergency. Checklists are up to date. If needed, the anesthesiologist is prepared and the midwife is at the best of her ability.

This is what a normal day at Stadtspital Zurich can be like. In order for you to find out who is behind these insights, “Mis Spital. Mis Läbe.” is a series to get to know the lifestyle of individual healthcare professionals in more detail.

We will see how each expert plans what their day will be. However, they must be open to improvise, make quick and accurate decisions, where teamwork is essential. Although they are sometimes overcome by feelings of uneasiness or helplessness, each specialist seeks to do his or her best.

Behind every uniform, there are human beings ready to provide special care at all times. To maintain their concentration in the midst of an intervention and to put aside their fears when faced with a difficult situation.

These health professionals share with us some of their experiences and their growth in the hospital. But they also open their doors to their private lives. Away from the emergency, surgery and delivery rooms.

To recharge their energy, they have complementary activities. Some seek adrenaline to balance their mind and body. Through music, mountain biking, volunteering, sports or simply going on stage to sing. No one would imagine that of the five young people on stage, the folk rock singer is the midwife of Stadtspital Zurich.

Discover the stories of the protagonists in these videos for social networks. Get to know the human side and the lifestyle behind each of them.
